Accessible Design, Development, and Testing

  • Accessibility Fundamentals

    Explains how people with disabilities use the web, the scope and relevance of web accessibility, and some accessibility features and barriers. Introduces web accessibility standards and guidelines and how to plan for and manage implementation.

  • Designing for Accessibility

    Explains the distinctions and overlaps between accessibility, usability, and inclusive design and the importance of maintaining the focus of accessibility on people with disabilities. Introduces the concept and 7 principles of Universal design, the 4 accessibility principles, and W3C accessibility standards.

  • Testing and Developing For Conformance

    Provides an overview of key accessibility testing methods and tools for WCAG conformance, introduces essential terms for developers, and demonstrates how accessible coding enables people with disabilities to navigate the web. It also covers best practices for accessible markup and coding techniques.
